Q. What is the best age to attend The High School LEAP Leadership Program?
It is to your advantage to attend a LEAP Leadership Program as soon as possible! The High School LEAP Program is designed for any student entering grades 9, 10, 11 and 12. We know that the earlier you are able to integrate the powerful life lessons taught at LEAP, the easier your life will be and the more you will be able to accomplish at an early age. Furthermore, the earlier you are able to embrace LEAP’s strategies and habits that lead to success and happiness, the greater your competitive edge when it comes to college admissions process.

Q. What is the best age to attend The Young Adult LEAP Leadership Program?
The earlier on in your college years you attend a LEAP program, the better! The sooner you are able to begin incorporating into your life the habits and the mindset that will lead you to both professional and personal success, the sooner you will be able to reap the benefits. The Young Adult LEAP Leadership Program is designed for any young adult, aged 18 to 24, who is interested in learning the skills necessary to get a significant head start in life.

Q. How does the LEAP application process work?
First, you must submit a completed application and a deposit (you may pay by cash, check or credit card). If your application has been successfully sent to our administrative offices, you will receive a return email from us. If your chosen session is full, we will contact you promptly. After your application has been processed, you will be contacted to schedule a phone interview. Upon completion of the phone interview and formal admission to the program, you will be mailed a confirmation packet with detailed information about the LEAP program to which you have been admitted. This packet will include important, site-specific information and forms to fill out and return to the LEAP offices by specified dates. We ask that you please not make any travel plans until you receive written confirmation of your acceptance.

Q. How will I know whether or not I have been accepted?
You will receive an email notification upon the receipt of your application. The LEAP Foundation will contact you in order to schedule a phone interview. Upon completion of the phone interview and formal admission to the program, you will be mailed a confirmation packet with detailed information about the LEAP program to which you have been admitted.

Q. Who attends the LEAP Leadership Programs? Will each participant benefit equally from such an experience?
Much of how we determine whether or not an individual is accepted into a LEAP program is contingent upon the phone interview we require with every applicant. At LEAP, we are not looking to accept only those who have been a model student up until now. We strive to have diversity within our programs, and seek to admit participants from a variety of backgrounds, who will help us create the type of effective and inspiring environment for all participants to wholly achieve what LEAP has to offer.

We provide every student with the opportunity to achieve the maximum amount of insight from our programs, and our phone interviews help us to select those individuals who we believe will take advantage of such an invaluable opportunity.

Q. Should I attend the program with friends or siblings?
Certainly. In fact, we believe that this provides participants with the opportunity to have a take-home support network. It helps participants continue to implement everything they have learned at LEAP. We do, however, want to ensure that every participant benefits as much as possible from the LEAP experience, so we request that friends and siblings be placed in separate LEAP groups (a small group of 8 to 12 LEAP participants, led by a LEAP Coach, or group mentor, that meets often throughout the course of the program).

Q. As a minor, how will my child be chaperoned?
You will find that LEAP’s Leadership programs provide the best balance of invaluable information, supportive supervision and exciting activities. Participants will always be paired with a roommate. The safety of our participants is of utmost importance. Participants are, therefore, required to stay on campus throughout the entirety of the program.

In addition, each participant is strategically assigned to a small group of 8 to 12 LEAP participants throughout the course of the program. Each group is led by a LEAP Coach, who has been carefully selected by The LEAP Foundation to lead and provide support to his or her group of participants. LEAP Coaches are accomplished, upper-class college students, graduate students, or young professionals, who have been accepted to lead and supervise LEAP participants.

LEAP Coaches are volunteers who have demonstrated admirable leadership and have achieved excellence in their academic and professional lives. LEAP Coaches wholly embody the principles and values of The LEAP Foundation, and are dedicated to and actively involved in ensuring that each LEAP participant is accelerating his or her potential and is maximizing his or her experience at the LEAP Program.

Q. What does my tuition cover?
The tuition covers all workshops, lodging for the duration of the program, all meals, all program workbooks and materials, planned recreational and evening activities, as well as program memorabilia. Tuition does not include travel or transportation to and from the program site, or spending money.

Q. When do I make my travel arrangements?
Students from anywhere are welcome to attend the program. Participants should fly into the appropriate airport for their program as specified in his or her enrollment packet. Please do not make any travel arrangements until you receive written confirmation of your acceptance into a LEAP program.

Q. How will I be transported to and from the airport?
A LEAP Foundation representative will meet students at the airport upon arrival and shuttle them back to the airport at the conclusion of the program. Shuttle reservations will be provided after your program application has been received and you have been granted admission into the LEAP program of your choosing.

Q. What are the dates for the next LEAP’s program?
The 2015 LEAP program dates are July 12th – July 18th. The 2015 summer programs will take place on the UCLA campus in Los Angeles, CA.

Q. Does The LEAP Foundation offer an Internship Program?
Yes. The LEAP Foundation does offer summer internship positions at our Headquarters in Los Angeles, CA. The LEAP Internship Program is designed to give students the opportunity to gain experience in Business Management and Operations, as well as Event Planning, Marketing and PR. All of our internships are unpaid, voluntary positions. Interns may receive academic credit if The LEAP Foundation is able to coordinate an agreement with the intern’s academic institution. In addition, as a LEAP intern, you will have the opportunity to attend the next Young Adult LEAP Leadership Program at UCLA, free of charge.

To qualify for consideration, applicants must be entering freshman through senior year of undergraduate studies or a recent college graduate. Applicants must submit a completed application to The LEAP Foundation via email or fax and undergo an interview with a LEAP administrator. Q. What is LEAP’s Privacy Policy?
The preservation of your personal privacy and confidentiality is a foremost priority of The LEAP Foundation, Inc. At The LEAP Foundation, Inc., we take the issue of your personal privacy very seriously. We pledge to never make available to any third party your personal, private and/or any other information. We will never rent or sell your email address to anyone, including other newsletter publishers or advertising partners.

The LEAP Foundation, Inc. will only collect names, email addresses and personal, private and/or any other information that is voluntarily provided by the visitor. This information will be saved, and will be used for the purposes of communicating with those who have provided this information voluntarily. Communications may include special offers, news and information updates, other resources, promotions and correspondence. If at any time you choose not to receive email communication or correspondence from leapfoundation.com, you may send an email to info@leapfoundation.com, and you will be immediately removed from all future mailings and correspondence.
